M. Chiagozie Udeh
Chiagozie Udeh is a 25-year-old Nigerian climate activist who in 2019, served as the YOUNGO Global South Focal Point of YOUNGO, the Youth Constituency to the UNFCCC where he facilitated meaningful global youth engagement in the international climate change processes and negotiations primarily within the UNFCCC and other spaces within and outside the United Nations. Chief among his roles last year were working closely with the Office of the Secretary-General Envoy on Youth and the Secretary General's team on Climate Action Summit to facilitate meaningful engagement of many young people in the Abu Dhabi Stocktaking Meeting, Youth Climate Summit, and Climate Action Summit itself in New York. He finished his mandate facilitating the engagement of global youths at the COP 25 in Madrid last December with some good partnerships with UN and non-UN organizations established.
He is the first Nigeria and West African and only the 4th African to be elected a YOUNGO Focal Point.

The African youth we want. (Intergenerational dialogue format)
This panel will cover the main characteristics youths should have to partake in the decision making. It will also host an intergenerational dialogue to break the existing between both parties and help deepen their relationship as they learn how to accept and work with each other. To achieve this endeavor, it’s of paramount importance to honor the following requirements: Include youth in decision-making processes. Honor the youth voice. Understand and implement their honest opinions and ideas. Be willing to share your adult power and privilege in order to make the community a better place for both young people and adults alike.
