Ms. Mirana Njakatiana Andriarisoa
Mirana Njakatiana Andriarisoa is a vibrant young leader from Madagascar, currently an Ambassador at the African Youth Climate Hub. She is a recent master graduate in Energy policy from the Pan African University for Water and Energy Sciences in Algeria where she is also a former leader of the Pan African University Climate Change and Gender Club. She has a background in Economics from the University of Antananarivo Madagascar. Mirana is passionate in research about Economics - Energy - Climate change nexus. As from a country where only 5% of the population have access to electricity, and also where the population are so vulnerable from climate change impacts, her aspiration is to promote green energy for rural electrification in Madagascar and in Sub Saharan Africa at large.

Climate change and the future of our region
Despite having contributed the least to global warming and having the lowest emissions, Africa faces exponential collateral damage, posing systemic risks to its economies, water, and food systems, public health, agriculture, and livelihoods, threatening to undo its modest development gains and slip into higher levels of extreme poverty.
